The Parrot AR Drone 2.0 has certainly been one of the most interesting consumer drones available, but with the release of the latest model, the Bebop, or Parrot Drone 3.0, they have truly created a one of a kind drone that is not only powerful, but remarkably easy to use.
With the help of a 14mp camera that includes a fisheye lens, users can see a 180 degree field of vision and crystal clear video that can pan and tilt while the drone is standing still. This alone makes it an exciting opportunity for aerial video fans.
The Skycontroller is one of the selling features as well. This controller has a range of up to 2KM and attaches to a smartphone or tablet to control the drone. You can even choose to send the video to an Oculus Rift if you like, which is something that no other drone manufacturer can say.
Unfortunately, the flight time is only 12 minutes right now, but that could easily change as production moves forward and Parrot continues to improve their designs. It is set to be released at the end of the year, so make sure that you keep an eye out for this drone if you are in the market, just be sure to save your money since it might be a more expensive option.
