There are a lot of drones on the market and most of the time it’s hard to tell the difference between them. That is far from the case with the Nixie Drone, however, as it is an incredibly small device that is almost unbelievable.
This quadcopter has flexible arms that let it clint to your wrist when you aren’t letting it fly free on its own. This was one of the finalists in a “Make It Wearable” competition from Intel and it very well should be.
When flying, the drone is designed to be able to automatically detect where you are and film whatever you are doing, whether you are climbing a mountain or checking out a tourist spot. The Edison chip that makes this possible is also what makes it capable of avoiding any obstacles that you might come across.
For wearable drones, we might be a little ways away. There is nothing other than the prototype yet, although the makers have already received $50,000 in prize money for being a finalist, so production may be coming in the future. If you want a drone that is incredibly cool and don’t want something that is going to take up much space, this is going to be a big hit.
