There are plenty of people in the world that would love to do the kind of street art that people marvel at, but unfortunately that usually involves great heights that they aren’t comfortable with. There is a company that is looking to change that, though, and their new Spraycopter makes it easy to do street art anywhere that you can fly a drone to.
A graffiti artist known as Katsu is the brain behind this operation, rising to fame in the 1990s in New York City. Now, he wants to paint bigger pieces than anyone else, leading to the development of this particular drone.
Katsu says he was inspired by video games, imagining sending out robots to do his graffiti for them. In the past, he has relied on things like fire extinguishers, although this is much more technologically advanced than any other method he’s used in the past.
Will these be available to the public? There is no telling now, but with enough interest anything is possible. Few retailers might be interested in something that is essentially used to deface property, but that hasn’t stopped anyone from being interested in it. Stay tuned for more on this one.
