Parrot has been producing some of the best commercial drones that the market has seen, although their new upcoming drone is certainly going to be one of the most exciting. The Parrot Bebop drone is an incredible product and one that has drone enthusiasts excited. We’ll take a look at it here.
The Parrot Bebop drone stands out as being designed to use heavyweight technology that doesn’t actually weight the drone down. This is the most powerful drone that they have created so far, with eight times the battery life and a brand new quad-core GPU, 8 GB of flash memory, and a Parrot P7 dual-core CPU. That combination makes this something that is certainly going to change the commercial drone landscape.
It is also designed to be the most stable drone that gives the greatest view of anything on the market. 3-axes stabilization keeps the 1080p video smooth as it pumps out images from a 14 megapixel fisheye camera that offers a 180 degree field of vision, something that is also rarely found in drones of this size.
For piloting the Parrot Bepop Drone is a free FreeFlight3.0 application. We can use it to drive both manual flight, and a pre-determined place your trip on the map, “guiding the drone for a walk”. Left thumb activates a virtual joystick that allows you to control the altitude drone, its rotation and tilting movements of the smartphone / tablet, and indicates the direction: forward, backward, left, right. Right thumb allows you to control the degree of inclination of the front of the camera during the flight. After pressing the “landing” Bebop Drone lands gently on the ground. “Homecoming” button makes Bebop drone, guided by GPS returns to the starting point.
Those highlights should be enough to have you talking about the Parrot Bebop drone, but there is so much more to behold. Take a closer look for yourself and you just might be surprised.
